Boho wedding has won the hearts of brides around the world. Freedom, fluidity, connection with nature and the indisputable touch of comfort involved in the style, make it more and more desired.
Right now, you can know that it has become one of the most popular styles around the world, gaining nuances from glamour to vintage, according to the personal taste of each couple. But the question that remains is what exactly a boho wedding consists of.
What elements make up this style? What are the best decoration items? Read all about it below!
What is Boho Wedding?
First, let's talk about the term. ‘Boho’ comes from the bohemian word for “an unconventional, cheerful, simple lifestyle that often involves artistic activities”. Features that closely resemble hippie style, right? And you can understand this connection, knowing the history of the word here.
Thus, a bohemian wedding - or boho - is exactly that: an event in an unconventional style, full of handmade elements and that has an extra dose of romanticism and lightness.
Nature is one of the main inspirations - and, generally, the flagship of decoration. Think of a fairytale wedding, with a touch of forest magic and little luxury of royalty: this is your boho chic wedding!

Because of its strong connection with nature, boho wedding usually takes place in the country, on farms and on gardens.
If you don't like the idea of doing it in an open space, don't worry: boho can also be done in closed spaces, as long as the places have beautiful gardens or offer spaces linked to nature.
The different styles of sites also give varying nuances to the event, such as: stripped boho, boho chic, romantic boho, rustic boho… It is up to you to choose what you like best.

Decor
I believe that decoration is one of the strongest elements of style. What you need to know at the outset is that to organize a boho wedding decoration, you need to dismiss something very elaborate.
Of course, you can create a beautiful composition of elements and colours, but don't overload it with flowers or foliage; the idea of the bohemian decoration is of a more natural and clean proposition.
To create your perfect boho decor, mix colours, old and new objects, chairs and tables of different models. Consider the use of handicrafts, natural flowers (especially exotic ones), lace, ropes, macramés, embroidery, wood… Basically, everything that has a somewhat rustic and eccentric style. Pampas grass, rustic furniture, a mixture of vases and lights (those for Christmas, you know?) Are among the brides' favorite choices and add a playful touch to the decor. Do not be afraid to dare!

Bride's dress
Did you know that the brides dress should match the style of the wedding? Therefore, in boho weddings, the bride needs to match the light and romantic style characteristic of the bohemian.
Here are some tips so you won't make any mistakes:
# 1 Avoid the princess dress! That Cinderella style, you know? If you want a model that marks the waist and has a round skirt, prefer light fabrics and models that have movement.
# 2 Want some shine? So choose something soft, like pearls or more delicate applications. Very embroidered, sequins and stones models do not match the style. Stay away!
# 3 Do you like lace? Then it is the right choice for you! Of all the fabrics, lace is one of those that best match boho. Fabrics in a unique lace, with applications, lace worked in various textures ... Choose the one that best matches your style and rock it!
The most important thing is that you feel beautiful and comfortable on your big day, but these tips will help you choose the boho dress that you dreamt so much. Check out these models and get inspired:

Bouquet
As well as the rest of the party, the boho bouquet is unconventional. Think of large models, asymmetrical shapes, a mix of delicate and exotic flowers and even models never seen before. Being a boho bride gives you the freedom to choose the model you want to accompany you to the altar.

Groom's Suit
Together with the bride, the groom also needs to choose the correct and appropriate suit for the party.
In this style of party, the groom is free to make the choice he wishes, being able to opt for printed, colored suits or even the lack of a complete suit. I believe that the only rule for him would be: leave the plain black suit aside, after all, its seriousness doesn’t match the lightness of the party.
For the bride and groom who always wanted to dare when choosing a suit, the boho wedding is the best place for that. Enjoy!

Finally, the invitations - and the stationery!
Finally, my favorite part: stationery! Boho wedding, it also allows for many possibilities of creation. The invitation is the gateway to a well-developed visual identity and it is the first contact that guests will have with your party. Therefore, you are free to include all the vibe that the big day promises to bring.
Boho style includes a variety of options: use of colours, prints, watercolour, flowers ... Mix of two or more elements and few rules to be followed in relation to materials and shapes.
As for the use of materials, it is in this style that you can combine papers, cutouts and shapes. Kraft is a material that has been increasingly used by brides, as well as 100% cotton paper (which has this unfinished aspect) and sisal (used both in decoration and in details). Some inspirations:
